AUCKLAND – The cream of New Zealand and Australian men's and women's rugby will be on show at a sold-out Eden Park in Auckland this Saturday in a double-header.

Both New Zealand's national teams the All Blacks and Black Ferns will feature on the Auckland programme against their Aussie counterparts.

The Black Ferns is the name of the New Zealand's women's team.

“Saturday promises to be a special event that showcases the best of trans-Tasman rugby," said New Zealand Rugby Chief Executive Officer Steve Tew. “It’s a very special occasion to have both our world champion teams playing in front of a capacity home crowd.

"This is the only chance to see Black Ferns play Test rugby at home, and it’s the last opportunity to see the All Blacks in Auckland this year,” Tew said.

The All Blacks won 38-13 against Australia in the first of this year’s three Bledisloe Cup matches when Saturday night officially kicked off the All Blacks 2018 Rugby Championship campaign.

Additional temporary seating has taken Eden Park’s capacity total to 48 511 for this Saturday night's double-header.

The All Blacks have next week off before they are due to assemble in Nelson on Sunday, September 2 ahead of their historic Test match against Argentina at Trafalgar Park.
