Wallabies name three rookies to face the Springboks

MELBOURNE - Australia coach Michael Cheika has named three first-time starters in the team to face South Africa in Saturday's crucial Rugby Championship Test in Bloemfontein.

Izack Rodda, Jack Dempsey and Marika Koroibete will all earn their first Test caps, after Cheika named the trio in his starting line-up on Thursday.

Rodda replaces Rob Simmons, while Dempsey supplants Ned Hanigan and Koroibete has been preferred to Henry Speight.

Cheika has also named veteran hooker and former captaib Stephen Moore on the bench in place Jordan Uelese.

Australia are currently third on the Rugby Championship table with eight points, while the Springboks are second with 11 points.
