Hold your horses… Tickets for the blockbuster Springboks-All Blacks Test at Newlands on October 7 have not yet gone on sale.

But there is another way to secure your seat before September 11, when the tickets will become available.

Western Province Rugby reminded rugby fans on Thursday that a season ticket would secure a seat for the Rugby Championship Test as well.

A Newlands season ticket for the rest of 2017 will give you access to the Currie Cup round-robin games – the first home fixture takes place on Saturday at 1pm, when WP face the Pumas – as well as a home semi-final, if Province do well enough to claim a top-two spot on the log.

Termed a “season ticket special, in a limited offer” by WP Rugby, you would also be first in line to buy a separate ticket for a Newlands Currie Cup final, but most importantly, you will be able to attend the big Springbok showdown.

It will be the first time the All Blacks have played in Cape Town since 2008, when Peter de Villiers’ South African side lost 19-0 to New Zealand on the occasion of Percy Montgomery’s 100th Test.

This is the price breakdown for the season tickets for the rest of 2017:

• Category One - R1 750 (Grandstand, Danie Craven Stand and Railway Stand)

• Category Two - R1 500 (Jan Pickard Stand)

• Scholars - R150 (Scholars tickets are strictly for the scholars enclosure at Newlands)

Adult season tickets can be bought on the Computicket website on wprugby.computicket.com
