CAPE TOWN – Loose forward Sikhumbuzo Notshe will make his 50th appearance for the Stormers when they host the Lions at Newlands on Saturday (kick-off 5.15 pm).

The 24-year-old will start at number 8 in a new-look back row.

Skipper Siya Kolisi is back in the starting line-up at No 6 after being rested against the Sunwolves, while Kobus van Dyk shifts to blindside flank. Cobus Wiese and Nizaam Carr will provide cover on the bench.

The only other change to the run-on pack for the Super Rugby contest is Jan de Klerk, who's in for Pieter-Steph du Toit who was ruled out due to illness.

Hooker Bongi Mbonambi and loosehead prop Steven Kitshoff are both back from injury and will feature off the bench.

Raymond Rhule completes the changes in the backline as he comes in on the left wing in the place of Seabelo Senatla, who has joined the Blitzboks as they prepare for the last two legs of the 2017/18 World Sevens Series. EW Vijoen and Craig Barry will add some back-up on the bench.

The Stormers team is:
