Former Zimbabwean, Bulls and Cheetahs flyhalf Kennedy Tsimba will be on the bench for the Pumas when they meet Western Province in the Faure Stadium in Paarl on Saturday.

With flyhalf number one Rudi Vogt away on Super 14 duty with the Lions, the Pumas have opted for scrumhalf Jacques Coetzee in the number 10 jersey.

Tsimba only started training this week and isn't match fit, while back-up flyhalf Christiaan Els is out with a chest muscle injury.

Coach Jimmy Stonehouse is sweating over the fitness of tighthead prop Emile Botha. A decision on his fitness will be made on Thursday afternoon.
