NEW YORK – Simone Biles celebrated her 23rd birthday Saturday by roasting USA Gymnastics on Twitter, once again calling for an independent investigation into the much-maligned governing body.

After USAG sent a "Happy Birthday" tweet that said Biles would "continue to amaze us," the most decorated gymnast of all-time proved she had incredible moves both on the internet and on the mat.

"how about you amaze me and do the right thing ... have an independent investigation," Biles wrote.

It's not the first time BIles has called for an investigation into the governing body that allowed former team doctor Larry Nassar to abuse more than 150 gymnasts, including Biles, over more than a decade.

And while Nassar will spend the rest of his life in prison, USAG has waded through numerous legal battles, including declaring bankruptcy in 2018.

Recently, the organization proposed a $215 million legal settlement for Nassar's victims, a proposal that Biles and many other victims openly detested.

Biles, Aly Raisman and others have repeatedly asked for an independent investigation into how exactly the governing body failed its gymnasts and allowed Nassar to continue working for so long.

Most recently, a report revealed that in 2015 USAG knew that Biles may have been abused by Nassar, but intentionally steered its investigation to not include her, instead doing things like sending her to sign autographs at a Kroger.
