BARCELONA – Golden Arrows reserves will have to wait at least until Monday before they can face Barcelona B team.

Arrows were scheduled to clash with the Blaugranas reserves today at 12:30 (CAT). Instead, the 2017/2018 MultiChoice Diski Challenge (MDC) will now play La Liga team Girona tomorrow at 12:00 (CAT).

Mandla Ndlovu, the project leader of the MDC campaign confirmed that on Wednesday there was a change of plans in the originally planned fixture schedule for Abafana Bes’thende.

“On Wednesday, March, 21, we had an alteration to Arrows’ fixture here in Spain. Arrows’ match between Barcelona will now be played on Monday, 26. They will no longer face Espanyol,’’Ndlovu said.

“We’ve brought on new opponents, Girona’s first team for Friday.’’

Girona will be hoping to use the FIFA International break to get over the 6-3 humiliation at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium last Sunday.

It was a clash that the South African reserve team champions watched live upon their arrival.

However, Abafana Bes’thende will surely be no be a walkover for the La Liga outfit as they are still high in confidence after a 2-1 win over Segunda Division's reserves Rayo Vallecano on Monday.

Second half substitute Nkosikhona Dube scored both goals for the Lamontville-based team.
