Lamontville Golden Arrows (0) 0

Mamelodi Sundowns (0) 1

The dream for the double ended for Lamontville Golden Arrows as they succumbed to Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-final of the MultiChoice Diski Shield at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Clermont.

Arrows are the champions of the MultiChoice Diski Challenge and they were looking to add another silverware but that dream was ended by Sundowns.

Sundowns will face the winner of the clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Bloemfontein Celtic in the final next weekend at Makhulong Stadium.

Arrows enjoyed fair amount of possession but lacked the killer instinct in front of goal in the first half.

Nduduzo Sibiya caused havoc for Sundowns as he tested Koketso Tshabalala a couple of times. The Masandawana goal-minder came up with top saves to keep his side in the game.

Keabetswe Mokwena should have put Sundowns in the lead few minutes before the interval but ballooned his shot over the bar.

Sundowns came out invigorated after the interval. Promise Mkhuma swept past Arrows defenders and passed the ball in to the net.

Arrows continue to control the game but Sundowns were always dangerous on transition.

Abafana Bes'thende created numerous chances in the second half but failed to convert them.
