JOHANNESBURG – Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis has announced a squad of 20 players to face Botswana in the second-round of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic qualifiers, starting with an away fixture on August 30.
Ellis called up overseas-based players Leandra Smeda, Jermaine Seoposenwe, Nothando Vilakazi and Rhoda Mulaudzi, who all missed the recent Cosafa (Council of Southern African Football Associations) Women’s Championship in Port Elizabeth due to club commitments.
Also getting a recall is goalkeeper Mapaseka Mpuru.
Banyana Banyana will assemble for camp on Monday in Johannesburg. They travel to Botswana two days later with the match scheduled for Friday.
The return leg will be played at the Dobsonville Stadium on Tuesday, September 3.
