VICTORIA – Midfielder Lebogang Maboe said Bafana Bafana fans can expect more top performances in the future, starting with their return Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match against hosts Seychelles at Stad Linite on Tuesday.

Maboe created two chances on Saturday and was one of the outstanding players in Bafana’s 6-0 rout of Seychelles in Johannesburg, and he said he has a feeling the entire squad will replicate the same feat  in the next match.

“I am relishing the prospect of facing the same team on Tuesday and try to do even better than my performance on Saturday. We should win on Tuesday if we put the same performance as the one we put on Saturday,” said Maboe who weighed in with two assists in the contest over the weekend.

The Hedelberg-born player said the secret of his encouraging performance was down to being given freedom in his play.

“I was satisfied with my performance because I thought I gave it my best. I didn’t preserve any energy and expressed myself freely on the pitch. I also played according to instructions and within the team structure and everything fell into place."
