Kaizer Chiefs duo Ngezana, Meyiwa start for Bafana Bafana against Namibia

CAPE TOWN - Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana will be one of two debutants for Bafana Bafana in their Cosafa Cup Plate semi-final against Namibia on Tuesday.

Ngezana and Gift Links – who plays for Egyptian club Alassiouty Sport – are two of the three changes made by coach Stuart Baxter for the clash at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane (5pm kickoff).

Kaizer Chiefs youngster Wiseman Meyiwa replaces Luther Singh in midfield, while Lebohang Maboe will play just behind lone striker Ryan Moon.

Singh, Tareeq Fielies and Gift Motupa (who is unavailable due to a family bereavement) are the trio who make way from the team that lost 4-3 on penalties to Madagascar in the quarter-finals following a goalless draw.

Bafana Bafana Starting XI:

Reyaad Pieterse, Siyanda Xulu (captain), Motjeka Madisha, Siyabonga Ngezana, Maphosa Modiba, Fortune Makaringe, Wiseman Meyiwa, Siphesihle Ndlovu, Gift Links, Lebohang Maboe, Ryan Moon.

Substitutes: Bruce Bvuma, Khulekani Khubeka, Tareeq Fielies, Paseka Mako, Jamie Webber, Abednigo Mosiatlhaga, Lyle Foster, Luther Singh.
