CAPE TOWN – Kaizer Chiefs will host Free State Stars in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup, while Maritzburg United will be at home to Mamelodi Sundowns.

The draw for the competition was made at the Cape Town Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

To get to the last four, Sundowns defeated Cape Town City 2-1 at the former World Cup venue in the Mother City on Sunday, while on Saturday, Chiefs took out Baroka FC 1-0 – via a Mulomowandau Mathoho header – at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.

Maritzburg beat Bloemfontein Celtic 2-1 at the Harry Gwala Stadium, and Stars were fortunate to get past National First Division giant-killers Ubuntu Cape Town 4-2 on penalties.

The semi-finals are scheduled to be played on April 20, and the final of the competition will be played at the Cape Town Stadium on May 19.
