LONDON – Five players from champions Manchester City were named in the Premier League Team of the Year announced by England's Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) on Wednesday.

Striker Sergio Aguero, midfielders Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva and defenders Kyle Walker and Nicolas Otamendi were chosen from a City side which clinched the title last weekend with five games to spare.

Tottenham were the only other team to have more than one player selected with striker Harry Kane, midfielder Christian Eriksen and defender Jan Vertonghen named.

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, the league's top scorer with 30 goals, Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso and Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea round out the team.

The PFA Premier League Team of the Year is: 

David de Gea, Kyle Walker, Jan Vertonghen, Nicolas Otamendi, Marcos Alonso, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Christian Eriksen, Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero.
