MANCHESTER – Man City star Raheem Sterling has refused to close the door on a sensational return to Liverpool as he confessed he still loves Anfield.
The Manchester City star took control of the Instagram account of Colossal Sports Management, the agency who look after his affairs, on Monday night and was asked directly if he would return to Liverpool one day.
Sterling replied: ‘Would I ever go back to Liverpool? To be honest with you, I love Liverpool.
‘Don’t get it twisted, they are always in my heart. It’s a team who did a lot for me growing up so…’
The England international left Liverpool for City in 2015 in an acrimonious £49 million transfer. Sterling has since spoken publicly about his regret at how his Merseyside departure played out.
