LONDON - Arsenal forward Lucas Perez is considering his options after struggling to make an impact at the Emirates Stadium.
The 28-year-old’s last appearance was as a substitute in the FA Cup quarter-final against non-League Lincoln in March.
Perez returned to first-team training last week following a thigh injury but was not included in the squad for games against Leicester and Tottenham. It is unlikely he will be involved against Manchester United tomorrow.
Perez signed for Arsenal in a £17million move from Deportivo La Coruna last summer and a return to his former club is a possibility, with a loan the likeliest option.
*Lionel Messi has had his ban for abusing an assistant referee in Argentina’s win over Chile in March overturned on appeal, freeing him to play in his country’s remaining three World Cup qualifiers.
