It was a heady Sunday afternoon at Anfield as Liverpool swept West Ham aside in a comprehensive 4-0 victory.

A double by Senegal star Sadio Mane, in addition to the opener by Mohamed Salah, saw the Reds in charge against the Hammers, with the returning Daniel Sturridge rounding things off just before fulltime.

The euphoria of such a thrilling start to the Premier League season has excited local Liverpool fans too.

In our Twitter poll that started yesterday and ended today, we asked you: “Liverpool are on top of the Premier League! They put four goals past West Ham, but there were wins for Man City, Man United, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea as well. After the opening weekend, who are your title favourites?”

The results are in:

* Liverpool 48%

* Manchester City 27%

* Manchester United 21%

* Tottenham Hotspur 4%
