London - Brendan Rodgers has admitted that Liverpool cannot win big games without captain Steven Gerrard.
The 32-year-old will return to the starting line-up against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium tonight, after his second-half cameo against Oldham in the FA Cup almost salvaged a draw.
This has been Gerrard’s best season since Liverpool almost won the Barclays Premier League in 2009. Rodgers said: ‘When he came on at Oldham, it was like someone had dropped him from heaven.’
