LONDON - Manager Jose Mourinho, feeling the Christmas spirit, has given his Manchester United players most of Christmas off to spend with family.
They will, however, only have Christmas morning and early afternoon to spend with their loved ones.
The squad will train at 10am on Christmas Eve at Carrington, but do not have to report again until 6pm on Christmas Day for a session at Old Trafford.
The United players will then spend the night at the Lowry Hotel ahead of the Boxing Day game at home to Burnley.
Mourinho will also make the most of the extended break by going home to London to spend Christmas Eve with wife Matilde and their two children.
Training at Old Trafford is bad news for the extra 50 security and ground staff who will now need to work on Christmas Day.
Meanwhile, 17-year-old Angel Gomes has signed his first professional contract at the club.
