London - Luis Suarez equalled the Premier League goal-scoring record for a 38-game season as the Liverpool forward netted his 31st goal of the campaign against Crystal Palace on Monday.
Suarez's second-half strike at Selhurst Park drew him level with the previous mark set by Cristiano Ronaldo and Alan Shearer.
Shearer scored 31 times for Blackburn in 1995-96, while Portugal star Ronaldo, now at Real Madrid, chalked up 31 for Manchester United in 2007-08.
Suarez's milestone moment arrived in the 55th minute in south London with title-chasing Liverpool already leading 2-0.
The 27-year-old Uruguayan exchanged passes with Raheem Sterling before clipping a cool finish past Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni.
Suarez's goal also meant Liverpool have scored three or more goals in a new Premier League record 21 games this season.
