JOHANNESBURG - AmaZulu have signed former Kaizer Chiefs marksman Camaldine Abraw on a six months contract.
Independent Media has been reliably informed that Abraw arrived in South Africa on Tuesday to pen the deal with Usuthu.
Usuthu spokeperson, Brilliant Mkhathini, confirmed that they have secured the services of Abraw.
"Yes, it is true that we have signed Abraw. He signed a six months contract with an option to renew at the end of the season," Mkhathini explained.
"He is prolific goal scorer and we feel that he will assist us with goals upfront. Our talks advances last week but he left for Paris and then came back on Monday. He signed on Tuesday and we are delighted to have him in our team."
Abraw made headlines when he joined Kaizer Chiefs two seasons ago from Free State Stars. There's was a tug-of-war between Chiefs and Bloemfontein Celtic but the player ended up at Amakhosi.
The Togo international left Chiefs in 2017 after spending two seasons at the club. He then joined Romanian side ACS Poli Timisoara.
Usuthu have struggled with goals this season.They have netted 15 goals in 15 league matches. Rhulani Manzini is their top scorer with five goals.
Independent Media has been also informed that Usuthu have been offered Ayanda Gcaba, Marc Van Heerden and Collins Mbesuma, another foprmer Chiefs striker, but they are yet to make the decision about these players.
