JOHANNESBURG – Baroka FC produced their first win of their PSL Promotion Play-offs after beating Black Leopards at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday.

The 2-1 victory also sees them overtaking Stellenbosch FC with a two point lead at the top of the mini league round robin table.

In the first period, Black Leopards' defense struggled and were caught off guard majority of the time.

The Bakgaga outfit came into this encounter desperate for a win, after failing to protect their lead against Stellenbosch FC, eventually drawing 2-2.

Thobejane’s charges were spot on with their tackles, and not even the likes of Siphelele Ntshangase could breath up front.

Olalenge Shaku and Co had him and his striking partners on lockdown.

Victor Letsoalo registered his first goal of the afternoon after curling a back pass from Sipho Moeti over two Leopards defenders, who sort to clear the ball after their goalkeeper, Rotshidzwa Maluleka, was knocked to the ground.

Maluleka was substituted to receive some medical attention after being struck in the head.

Just three minutes before the break, Letsoalo scored his second of the afternoon, leaving substitute keeper Aubrey Mothibe with no chance to make the save.

Leopards fought hard to try and get back into the game and were able to find the back of the net with a  Mziwokuthula Zimu goal.
