JOHANNESBURG - EC Bees might have been knocked out, but they left a mark with their gallant fight against Mamelodi Sundowns in the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup.

As a result, Khanya Mini and Bongani Chikile made history by becoming the first players from the amateur ranks to earn a call up to the Team of the Week. They take their places at goalkeeper and striker respectively.

Edmilson Dove and Thapelo Morena are the fullbacks after strong performances that helped their teams reach the quarterfinals. The two will square off in the Brazilians’ clash with Cape Town City. 

Siyanda Xulu completes the back four in a 3-4-3 formation. Siphesihle Ndlovu and Siyethemba Mnguni anchor the midfield. Thembinkosi Lorch and Fortune Makaringe are on the flanks with Musa Nyatama operating just in front of them.
