JOHANNESBURG - Lebogang Manyama has found the going tough in Turkey, but his agent Alfred Phiri has advised him to stay in Europe rather than come back home.

The Bafana Bafana forward joined Konyaspor in Turkey at the start of the season. He left Cape Town City oozing confidence after being crowned the Footballer of the Season.

Manyama also walked away with the Premier Soccer League (PSL) Golden Boots gong following his impressive return in front of goals.

“Coming back home is not an option. It doesn’t help the national team when players come back after spending one season in Europe,” Phiri stated.

“I don’t think he should rush coming back home, but we still have to sit down and discuss his future.

“He will be in South Africa in three weeks. We will then discuss the way forward about his future.

“I speak with him almost every day. I always try to encourage him."
