JOHANNESBURG - National First Division (NFD) side Richards Bay FC have parted ways with their general manager Richard Makhoba.

Makhoba joined Richards Bay FC at the beginning of the season. Previously he served as the General Manager at Royal Eagles and United FC.

IOL Sport was informed by a close source to Makhoba that the club have parted ways with it's general manager.

"Makhoba has left Richards Bay FC. He resigned. The club is in search of another GM," a source stated.

Makhoba confirmed when he was contacted by IOL Sport that he is no longer with Richards Bay FC.

"We parted ways amicably with Richards Bay FC.  I enjoyed my time with the club although we struggled for results. I decided to leave the club because of family reasons. That's why I left. Everyone was shocked when I announced that I was leaving. I've been away from my family for a while and I felt this is the right time to sort out my family issues, " Makhoba explained.

Richards Bay FC are struggling in their debut season.  They are at the bottom of log. This past weekend they were thumped 3-0 by Highlands Park at Umhlathuze Sports Complex in Richards Bay.

Meanwhile IOL Sport has also gathered that former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates coach Kostadin Papic will be assisted by his compatriot Vladislav Heric at Royal Eagles.

Eagles General Manager James Dlamini confirmed that they are talking to the duo.

"Our interim coach Zipho Dlangalala has left the club. We are talking to Papic and Heric. The chairman (Sbu Mpisane)  is handling the matter, " Dlamini explained.
