Rising Moon is on a scoring spree

JOHANNESBURG - The 21-year-old Ryan Moon hit a purple patch at the right time.

It speaks volumes of his ability if he is able to find his way into a team that has recently acquired the highly rated Leonardo Castro, boasts the speedy Dumisani Zuma and veteran Bernard Parker.

Moon has now scored five goals in six matches, including one in the Nedbank Cup - that’s the kind of form you need your forwards to be hitting to give you the edge in a title race.

Sundowns’ advantage is that their goals can come from anywhere on the pitch, Orlando Pirates, like Chiefs, are also only finding the back of the net more regularly in the second half of the campaign, but they don’t have one reliable goal poacher.

Amakhosi seem to have that in Moon and the title race could very well rest on his shoulders.
