JOHANNESBURG – Riyaad Norodien started his new chapter at relegation-threatened Platinum Stars with a bang.
The Orlando Pirates winger, who is on loan at Dikwena, scored a brace on debut in an entertaining 3-3 draw with Chippa United on Sunday.
Norodien struggled for regular game time with the Sea Robbers, which led to his loan spell with Dikwena, who are trying to avoid the dreaded drop.
Norodien leads our attack-minded Team of the Week following a round filled with goals.
In the 10 matches that were played from Wednesday, 29 goals were scored as the race for the Absa Premiership title, top eight and to avoid relegation heats up.
Percy Tau produced arguably the moment of the week on Friday.
The Mamelodi Sundowns’ star breezed past Cape Town City’s defence, and just as it looked like he lost the ball, he quickly recovered and delivered a delicious cross to Khama Billiat.
It was a moment of magic that was cleverly finished by Billiat.
Tau is in a strike force that also features Yannick Zakri and Siphelele Mthembu.
Musa Nyatama pulls the strings in midfield, with Norodien and Aubrey Modiba supporting him on the flanks.
Modiba inspired SuperSport United to a 4-2 win over Bloemfontein Celtic, which should give the club hope that they have gotten over their slump.
