JOHANNESBURG - Wits had character, a fighting spirit that helped them come from behind and a strong bench which took them into fifth gear to put daylight between themselves and their opponents in Saturday's win over SuperSport United.

They haven’t shown these traits enough this season hence they were relegation candidates at one point. Wits dominate our Team of the Week thanks to their win.

Thulani Hlatshwayo was a soldier at the back. He made up for conceding a penalty by scoring Wits' fourth goal. “Tyson” is part of a back four that features Yagan Sasman, Soumahoro Bangaly and Daniel Cardoso, with Richard Ofori in goal.

Daylon Claasen, who scored a brilliant goal against SuperSport, is in midfield along with Sammy Seabi of Polokwane City. Mhango is on the flanks with Luvuyo Memela, who is growing with each game. Memela hasn’t only been scoring for Orlando Pirates, but he is also creating.

Justin Shonga opened his scoring account thanks to a good pass from Memela. Shonga is upfront with Gift Motupa who scored a brace for Baroka FC in their 2-2 draw with Golden Arrows. Motupa has been a different player at Bakgaga, finding his scoring touch and confidence unlike when he was at the Buccaneers.
