JOHANNESBURG – SA's Kevin Anderson moved back into the world’s top five on Monday after reaching the round of 16 at the Cincinnati ATP Masters in Cincinnati, USA last week.
Anderson is in sixth spot in the race to London rankings for the year-end top-eight player ATP World Championships.
Lloyd Harris, in 145th place, remains stable on the world rankings after his quarterfinal berth at the Vancouver Challenger in Canada last week. Harris lost to top seed Vasek Pospisil of Canada in three close sets in the last eight.
Raven Klaasen is back into the world’s top-20 after moving up two spots on the world doubles rankings to number 19 and remains the country’s highest ranked doubles player.
Klaasen and his doubles partner Michael Venus of New Zealand are ranked sixth in the race to London for the year-end top-eight team ATP World Championships.
Chanel Simmonds remains the highest ranked SA singles (340) and doubles (236) women’s player.
