JOHANNESBURG – South Africa’s Kevin Anderson has dropped four spots to ninth in the latest men’s ATP singles rankings released on Monday.
Anderson lost to Austria’s Dominic Thiem in their round of 16 clash at the US Open on September 2, and the SA player lost valuable rankings points as a result after making it to the final of the event in 2017.
SA’s number two Lloyd Harris jumped 14 spots to 131st by virtue of making it through qualifying to play in his first-ever grand slam tournament. Harris, though, fell in the first round to the experienced Gilles Simon of France.
