Berlin – Rafael Nadal remains number one in the latest ATP rankings released on Monday. The Spaniard retains a narrow lead of 870 points over Novak Djokovic at the top of the rankings at the start of the Australian Open in Melbourne. Nadal starts his campaign with a first round clash against Bernard Tomic on Tuesday. Djokovic defeated Lukas Lacko in straight sets on Monday. David Ferrer is in third place with Andy Murray and Juan Martin del Potro in close pursuit. Former world number one Roger Federer remains in sixth. The only changes to the rankings took place outside the top 10.
