Berlin – Andrea Petkovic rose one place from 11th to become the first German in the women's WTA ranking top 10 in more than a decade.

Until Monday's list, Germany did not have a player this high since Anke Huber dropped out of the top 10 in October 2000. Petkovic is the sixth German overall in the top 10, with Steffi Graf the undisputed leader with a 377 weeks as number one alone.

Petkovic, a semi-finalist last week in San Diego, has 3,375

points to lead a trio of high-flying Germans, with Julia Goerges 20th and Sabine Lisicki 21st.

Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark retained first place with 9,915 points from Belgian Kim Clijsters (7,625) and the San Diego finalist Vera Zvonareva of Russia (7,045).
