Delray Beach, Florida – Rain prevented completion of any matches Wednesday at the $455,775 ATP Delray Beach International tennis championships.

Second-round matches now scheduled for Thursday include top seed John Isner against Japan's Go Soeda. America's Isner hammered 28 aces in a three-set first-round victory over Canadian Jesse Levine on Tuesday night.

Defending champion Kevin Anderson of South Africa, the sixth seed, is scheduled to take on Taiwan's Lu Yen Hsun on Thursday night.

The only singles match to make it on court Wednesday featured eighth-seeded Belgian Xavier Malisse against Spanish qualifier Daniel Munoz, but they were unable to make it through the first set before persistent showers took over. – Sapa-AFP
