As excitement builds up to the world’s greatest football spectacle, Coca-Cola is inviting fans to get #ReadyFor the highly anticipated 2018 FIFA World Cup™ with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get up close to the authentic FIFA World Cup™ solid-gold trophy that will be presented to the winning country of the tournament in July.
World football’s most prized asset was lifted by Spain in South Africa almost 10 years ago, and will once again grace the South African shores as part of its global tour, leading up to the highly-anticipated world showpiece in Russia.
As part of the tour, the Newlands Cricket Ground will be the centre of attraction on Saturday, 3 March when the coveted cup will touch down in the Mother City for the FIFA World Cup™ Tour experience
To continue celebrating all the vibrancy and excitement, Coca-Cola is inviting fans to a free Coca-Cola Anthem Concert also on the same day! Hip hop star Cassper Nyovest will be on stage to perform the official Coca-Cola anthem “Colours” that he collaborated on with international pop sensation Jason Derulo.
Prior to the exclusive first performance, Jason Pascoe and Ricky Rick will take to the stage to open for Cassper Nyovest.
To be part of the Coca-Cola Anthem Concert at Newlands, fans simply have to make their way to the various Coca-Cola brand experiences.
On 1 March, Coca-Cola will be at Promenade Mall between 10h00-16h00, as well as Kenilworth Mall on 2 March between 10h00-16h00 in order for fans to get tickets to attend the Coca-Cola FIFA World Cup™ Anthem Concert.
Gates to the Newlands Cricket Stadium open at 10h30 on Saturday and entry will be free, with lots of Coca-Cola prizes and entertainment on offer throughout the day.
