DURBAN - ACTRESS Natasha Thahane has been announced as the new host of DreamTeam’s Dubane Spring Break after the event was rained out two weeks ago. Initially, actress Pearl Thusi had been scheduled to be the host, but the event had to be postponed due to bad weather.

The re-scheduled event will take place at Ushaka Marine World’s Wet n Wild next weekend, September 29.

It will be the fourth annual Dubane Spring Break, which was started by the local rap duo of DreamTeam, which consists of Durban rappers Lusaso “Saso” Ngcobo and Trevor “Trey” Sineke.

The organisers said the ‘Gqom Barbie’ TDK Macassette and award-winning house duo Black Motion, would be among the scheduled performers for the do.

Music duo Black Motion gave a glimpse of their real selves in an interview with the Pretoria News at their Centurion home.

Fill Up merchant Cassper Nyovest, DJ Tira, Dladla Mshunqisi, Tipcee, Ms Cosmo, Da L.E.S. and the organisers - DreamTeam - are among the scheduled performers.

“As an event house in the South African entertainment industry, music forms an essential part of our DNA but most importantly, it plays an essential role in the lives of South Africans,” said Trevor ‘Trey’ Sineke, a member of DreamTeam.

uShaka’s events and entertainment manager, Vuyiswa King, said they were excited to be able to bring the best local and national acts to perform.

“We were disappointed about having to postpone the event, but we are now focused on the new one, and adding even more fun and excitement to the Dubane Spring Break party - what better way to start off the holidays, than celebrating with your friends, listening to some of Durban’s finest DJs, and partying under the sun?”
