EVERY mother deserves a “heart to heart”, and this month it could be with a 1970s Bollywood heroine.

Zeenat Aman, 66, is set to touch down in Durban this week for her first show in South Africa at the Sibaya iZulu Theatre on May 12.

The Urja Music event highlights “edutainment” as Aman shares stories from her life in a musical extravaganza.

The Dum Maaro Dum actress is ready to have a chat with the audience about being in the spotlight for several years, from her Churaliyan hai tumne ko dil ho moment to her recent stints in the media industry.

Aman made headlines in India in March after it emerged that she had opened a rape case against a Mumbai businessman.

According to media in India, Mumbai police spokesperson Deepak Deoraj said the businessman had been previously charged for stalking and harassment.

Aman will reflect on her ordeals that have moulded her into a sought-after actress.

But the evening won’t be all talk and no play.

South African singer Shashika Mooruth, now working abroad, will join the veteran Bollywood actress and help her bring yesteryear’s movie characters alive with renditions of golden oldies.

Mooruth will also launch her new album, produced in India, while Aman will be presented with the Scorpion Design Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ticket prices start at R300 and are available at Computicket or the Sibaya box office.
