Durban - Ever outspoken and a fierce critic of President Jacob Zuma, ANC MP Dr Makhosi Khoza took a swipe at the party as she announced her loud exit from the party she joined as a young teenager.

Khoza, who was facing charges numerous charges from the ANC in KwaZulu-Natal for allegedly bringing the party into disrepute with her social media outbursts, said she was leaving the party, but would never "leave the ANC values".

Today I leave the corrupt ANC, but I will never leave the ANC values. #MakhosiKhoza

I am leaving the ANC of Jacob Zuma. This ANC is very corrupt to the core. It has no organizational capacity to self-correct.

Future generations will surely ask, how did we get to a point where the ANC is led by a man facing 783 charges of corruption #MakhosiKhoza

As Khoza took her bow from the ANC, politicians from rival political parties commented on her departure.

EFF spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi

and MP, remarked:

With ANC you either quit due to corruption. Or you get expelled due to corruption. Or you get killed due to corruption. #MakhosiKhoza

UDM leader Bantu Holomisa

said Khoza was "showing them the middle finger".

DA leader Mmusi Maimane

remarked.

What #MakhosiKhoza is saying here, is that the Anc is patronage corrupt organization. It is dead, we need a new beginning. https://t.co/bxPxjsVhw1

Deputy president of the EFF, Floyd Shivambu

,

#MakhosiKhoza was a good and engaging Public Representative, and it's sad she has to leave due to the alien, nasty and corrupt organization.

Mbhazima Shilowa, once of the ANC, said he knew all too well what Makhosi Khoza was going through. He was one of many prominent leaders who broke away from the ANC to form COPE when Zuma ousted President Thabo Mbeki at the Polokwane elective conference 10 years ago.

I can understand her agony in arriving at the decision to quit the only organization she has known. I went through same process in 2008
