TV personality and businesswoman Bonang Matheba has announced the arrival of a new edition to her sparkling wines, The House of BNG. Following weeks of lockdown restrictions and the ban on the sale of alcohol, fans can look forward to popping bottles of the new Prestige Reserve in their celebrations.

After creating a stir with its dramatic unveiling at South Africa’s richest horse racing day, the Sun Met earlier this year, the limited edition Prestige Reserve Brut MCC from The House of BNG is now available at Woolworths and other exclusive outlets, including online portal Port2Port.wine.

Inspired by Matheba, the first black woman to become a member of the Cap Classique Producers Association, The House of BNG Prestige Reserve is contained within an elegant black bottle with a beautifully expressed honeycomb design and gold-embossed crown and bee logo, emulating her “Queen B” moniker.

“The entire journey has been incredible, from the initial idea to production to becoming the first black woman to be a member of Cap Classic Producers Association to seeing the first bottles on the shelf and then the most recent reveal of the Prestive Reserve at the Sun Met 2020.

“This release is all about excellence, global luxury, elegance and my love for MCC. From our House to your Home,” said Matheba.

She said entering the luxury beverage market was not without its challenges, but she managed to subvert those owing to strategic planning with a clear vision and a great team.

“The House of BNG is really my passion project. It is my pride and joy and to see it be so well received by my fans is an honour.”

In line with keeping it exclusive, only 4500 bottles of The House of BNG Prestige Reserve would be made available.
