Comedian David Kau is celebrating 20 years since he first started doing stand-up comedy.

To celebrate two decades of laughter, Kau says he is setting the bar high by staging the popular Blacks Only comedy show at The Ticketpro Dome in North Riding, Joburg.

“This is quite a milestone, scary at the same time but very exciting. It is the biggest thing I have ever done in my career of 20 years and the biggest risk we have ever taken as Blacks Only,” says the funnyman.

“We are trying to get everyone who has been to a Blacks Only (performance) in one show at the same time next Saturday.

“it is just to have a party and have fun. I think with stand-up comedy people are just supposed to feel good.

“I will have as many of my friends, comedians, family and supporters whom I know personally,” he says, as he always takes the time to get to know those who attend his shows.

In the line-up are Brooklyn’s Dwayne Perkins, Ruben Paul (US) and UK-based Daliso Chaponda from Malawi, with local artists Sifiso Nene, Tumi Morake, Kagiso “KG” Mokgadi, Riaad Moosa, Schalk Bezuidenhout, Skhumba, Lihle Msimang, Mpho Popps and Siya Seya. Guest comic Somizi will also feature.

To win one of five double tickets to the show, SMS TSI (SPACE) #BlackComedy followed by your name, surname and email address to 43825.

Terms and conditions apply. SMSes cost R1.50. Winners will be contacted via telephone/email.
