For many years now, the South African Music Awards have come in and out of the North West province in the name of music. This year. RiSA has switched things up by going out into the streets of the North West to do their bit of good for the community in Mannamakgotheng in Moruleng. Today, RiSA CEO Nhlanhla Sibi alongside the MEC of North West the honorable Ontlametse Mochware, and many others, visited the Kgolangano Care Centre, a centre that cares for the elderly and the disabled, to donate blankets to keep them warm during winter.

Kgolangano Care Centre was founded in 2013 and currently houses 35 elderly and six orphans and vulnerable children.

According to RiSA's CEO Nhlanhla Sibisi, their company has played in these communities for years now and now they have realized that most of their spendings are in one area which is Sun City. The time to reach out into the community is now, he said. "We have not gone out into the communities and say to them 'this is us as the SAMAS, this is what we do and this is what we want to give back. So today is the first of many initiatives which will see us give back more and more into the communities. With these blankets we are saying to the home get warm, it is not enough we know, it can never be enough but this is our contribution from RiSA," said Sibisi.
