LONDON: Robert Mugabe has revealed that he supports Chelsea football club.

The Zimbabwean president, 88, told a group of African footballers that he follows the London side, which won the Champions League this month, as well as Spanish team Barcelona.

“I am a Chelsea and Barcelona supporter and I always want them to score,” he said.

Mugabe also told the players gathered for former Zimbabwe captain Benjani Mwaruwari’s testimonial that he demands quiet when he watches games on television. “I do not want anyone to disturb me,” he said. “Even my wife knows where to sit. While they’re scoring on the field I’ll be scoring at home, kicking everything in front of me.” – Daily Mail
