It was just a few months ago when the announcement of the return of Big Brother Mzansi broke the internet.

This created a buzz of excitement, particularly for those who had always been devoted followers of this much-anticipated TV reality show.

In what seemed like a long time, BBMzansi is now days away from wrapping up the third season which had captured the attention of viewers to an immense extent.

After having the house filled with 18 house mates who were all vying for the 2 million cash prize, they are now down to only five as we step closer to the announcement of the winner.

With Gash1, Mphowabadimo, Libo, Themba, and Tulz battling for the title, viewers are yet to see who will walk away home a millionaire.

The show kicked off in January this year, introducing the popular TV personality Lawrence Maleka at the helm as a host.

Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net, Shirley Adonisi, had expressed excitement with this new season, especially with Lawrence as a host.

“We can’t wait for viewers to tune in to what’s certainly going to be a very exciting season.”

Within a few months, viewers have experienced all sorts of elements on this show, ranging from drama, betrayal and laughter to sadness. Viewers also anticipated friendships being formed and romance being sparked as well.

Through following the show every day, viewers at home have house mates who are seemingly their favourites who they need to vote for to keep them safe from eviction.

Their journey in the Big Brother House has not been smooth sailing as the contestants have been away from their loved ones for months but those who are still in the house have demonstrated the hunger to take the 2 million home.

Some house-mates have continued to be relevant even after being evicted because of the solid fan base that pushed them to thrive beyond the Big Brother House.

These past few months have seen viewers engage on social media platforms about the show, particularly now that it is nearing the end.
