The South Gauteng High Court, Johannesburg, heard that talks were ongoing between the State and defence lawyers for Sutherland, 39, to enter into a guilty plea.
Sutherland was charged for the murder of her 45-year-old husband, Clive Sutherland, on October 24 last year. She allegedly shot him dead at their Roodepoort, West Rand, home.
Clive’s body was found in his car in the garage three days after he sustained a single bullet wound.
The National Prosecuting Authority also added a count of defeating and obstructing the administration of justice to its charges against Sutherland.
