A special thanks to the two South African policemen who assisted my wife in the centre of Johannesburg on Saturday night.

My wife was returning from working late at a venue in the centre of Johannesburg and, when coming to traffic lights she approached with caution, but did not stop on any given red traffic light. This was because of her fear of being robbed.

A police patrol car pulled my wife over and advised her about driving through red traffic lights.

My wife admitted and apologised for breaking the law, but explained her fear of being robbed at the lights if she stopped.

The police were sympathetic to these concerns in that particular area of the city.

The officers gave her a police escort to a safer part of her journey home. They told her to continue from there onwards and to obey the traffic lights.

Thanks so much for the assistance, guys.
