DURBAN - A 32-year-old man is due to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate's Court for allegedly killing a man he had an argument with.

According to KZN police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane it is alleged that the suspect and the 24-year-old victim were at Motala Farm near Westmead in Pinetown on Monday, when they allegedly became embroiled in an argument.

"It is alleged that the argument was resolved and they continued with their day. Later in the day gunshots were heard and the suspect was seen fleeing the scene.

"The victim was found dead lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the face," said Zwane.

Zwane said police responded to the shooting and on arrival at the scene they were given a description of the suspect.

"A short while later, police managed to locate and arrest the man. He was found in possession of a pistol and eight rounds of ammunition. He was immediately placed under arrest and also charged for being in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition."
