Durban - Two men have appeared in the Lenasia Magistrate’s Court on charges of murder after the shooting of local businessman Avinash Manjanu during a birthday party at a councillor’s home earlier this month.
Gesen Perumal, 41, and Dinesh Moodley, 32, were released on R3000 bail each last Tuesday.
Manjanu, 31, was shot five times outside DA councillor Vinay Choonie’s home. He died at the scene.

It is alleged Manjanu was trying to resolve a dispute between his brother, Bashan, and one of the suspects.
His family declined to comment on the arrests.
The accused will appear in court again later this month.
