Top Instagram travel pictures of the week

Everyday Instagram is flooded with incredible travel pictures showcasing some of the most beautiful places in the world. 

Some of the places immediately cause FOMO (fear of missing out), while others force you to start auditing your books and see if the budget allows for a summer visit. 

Here are a few of the pictures that really caught my eye this week:

Located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, the Yoho National Park is one of the most breathtaking sights anywhere in North America. Its name, Yoho, is derived from the Cree word for awe and wonder. 

The eye-catching valleys and peaks and still waters in this park definitely match the name. 

This picture screams serenity and peace, feelings which are difficult to find with the big city life. I would love to just kayak down the river in this picture and soak it all in.

Oh, and some interesting animals live here: timber wolf, elk, mountain goat, golden-mantled ground squirrel, rufous hummingbird, hoary marmot, wolverine, cougar, pika and American black bear. 

Look, I don't know what half of these animals even look like, but I'd sure love to see them!

Cenote, Mexico

EN & ES Los cenotes son algo espectaculares, En México son muy conocidos por la cantidad que hay. Es posible bajar a alguno de estos y nadar un poco, como si fuese una piscina. Hasta tienen socorristas. El agua es totalmente cristalina y estando tan fresquita, se agradece con el calor. EN Cenotes are spectacular, in Mexico there are thousands of those. It´s possible to visit some of those and swim in that wonderful water. There is even a life guard! According to Wikipedia, a cenote is "a natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater underneath".

Mexico is known for its stunning cenotes. Despite the uncomfortable fact that ancient Maya used many of these cenotes for sacrificial offerings, they are today some of the most beautiful parts to visit in Mexico.

Picture floating around this groundwater for a couple of hours with a few good mates.

Genoa is one of Italy's most charming cities. And Italy is not short on those, so that says a lot.

Genoa is a classic city with some enchanting old buildings and landmarks.  Its port, located on the Gulf of Genoa in the Ligurian Sea, is known to be the busiest in Italy and twelfth-busiest in the European Union. 

So there's plenty of action to catch on the sea, if that's your kind of thing.

If it isn't, then you can always go elsewhere along the coast and relax on near one of these blocks overlooking the sea. I would give an arm and two legs to visit this city.
