Contestants of Mrs Universe pageant are having a fun time exploring Durban.

Women from more than 80 countries will compete for the Mrs Universe crown at Durban’s Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre on September 2, 2017 after the city clinched the rights to host the activist-themed, global women empowerment event for the first time in Africa.

They have a full seven-day programme that involves taking in the sights and sounds of KZN, the #OneVoice march against gender-violence, child abuse and human trafficking, and visiting schools in the greater Durban area to spread inspire children and stress the importance of education and self-development. This weekend they will be at Ushaka Marine World and later attend a VIP cocktail event.

Next week they will explore some of the eateries on Florida Road, visit Phezulu Safari Park, the Nelson Mandela Capture Site, Ballito and shoot in Umhlanga.

It clearly looks like the women will be getting a taste of the province while here.
