Leading small-group tour operator, G Adventures, has released its 2018 collection of Classic trips featuring 34 new itineraries, including Oman and Hawaii. This is the first time the company has offered trips to these two destinations.

The introduction of Oman comes as G Adventures has experienced increased demand for trips to the Middle East, citing 86 per cent growth year-on-year for bookings from the United Kingdom.

Sofia Montezo, Middle East product manager, G Adventures, says interest is returning to the region, and Oman is an excellent option for those who have never travelled to the Middle East, as well as for those who have already visited other countries in the region and are keen to explore further.

“Oman is one of the best kept secrets in this part of the world and is often described as the ‘Switzerland of the Middle East’ due to its independence. It features a beautiful mix of ancient history and modern living,” says Montezo.

G Adventures is also expanding its offering in the United States, introducing tours to the volcanic archipelago of Hawaii. The operator’s first-ever Hawaii programme explores The Big Island, Maui, Oahu and Kauai, and is perfect for travellers looking for a more adventurous and cultural experience beyond big bus tours and resort vacations.

“Our travellers asked us for trips to Hawaii and we’re excited to fulfill their request and show them another side of this part of the world,” says Scott Fuller, North America product coordinator, G Adventures.

G Adventures’ line-up of nearly 300 Classic trips offers travellers the quintessential G Adventures experience – a perfect balance between must-see highlights, cultural exchange, insider access and incredible value. All trips are available to view online at www.gadventures.com.uk and will be featured in the operator’s new “World’s Greatest Small Group Experiences” brochure which will be available later this year.

New Classic itineraries include highlights of Oman, where travellers will explore Muscat with visits to the Grand Mosque, Bait Al Zubair Museum and historic souk in Muttrah. The 8-day trip from Muscat will depart from September to December 2018.

The Hawaii Adventure, at Oahu & Kauai, will allow travellers to explore the rugged coastline and colossal cliffs of Na Pali State Park, set sail into the setting sun along Waikiki Beach, savour pineapple at the Dole Plantation and visit the Kualoa Ranch Nature Reserve where over 50 movies were filmed including Jurassic Park and Godzilla.

Kauai is a nature lovers dream with stunning mountains that crash into the sea, majestic waterfalls, red-rock canyons, and some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The 8-day trip from Waikiki to Kapa’a with departures from July to December 2018.
