London - The former London living quarters of American rock legend Jimi Hendrix will be opening to tourists, starting early next year.

The Hendrix Flat is on the upper floor of 23 Brook Street in the London district of Mayfair.

Hendrix lived there from July 1968 to March 1969. It was restored by the Handel House Trust, which had previously used the apartment as an administrative office for its staff.

The Hendrix Flat is located adjacent to the Handel House at 25 Brook Street, where composer German-born George Frideric Handel lived from 1723 until his death in 1759.

The Hendrix Flat will be open to the public starting on February 10, 2016.
