The Eastern Cape is filled with some of the most beautiful markets. Most of the markets promote local talent. Here are some markets to visit: 

Tea in the Trees

A clever concept, Tea in the Trees on the Cintsa West corner, is open on Sundays from  9am to 2pm. This spot is ideal for those wanting a meal among nature. With stunning views of the  coastal forest surroundings, visitors can expect Italian tea stalls, cakes and a range of homemade items. There are also local artists who display their bead and wire work. The Tunes in the Trees music festival will take place on Friday, December 15, at 5pm.

The Bathurst Farmer's Market is known for their fresh produce, crafts and hot meals. When you visit, enjoy their homemade ice-cream and their gingerbread houses. Visitors can purchase wood art, jewellery and handmade creams and soaps. The market is opened every Sunday at 8.30 to 12pm.

This is one of those markets that you will fall in love with. Located at Yellowwood Forest, the market offers everything from organic vegetables, cakes, jewellery, bead work and clothing. The market places emphasis on promoting local talent. Special festive season markets will take place on December 16, 23, 28 and January 2.
